The ATD Foundation is a UK-based charity which currently funds water, sanitation, education and football projects in Zambia.

At the same time, the ATD Foundation are working with the Livingstone Youth Football Academy who recruit players and offer opportunities to young people throughout the Southern Province of Zambia. By improving the facilities of the club and supporting local projects, the club is developing into a force for good in the local community. The players’ success breeds ambition amongst younger locals, many of whom are AIDs orphans. We aim to increase the reach of the football club to enable orphans from more remote villages to play, harness their talent and develop not only their football skills, but through membership of their local team, confidence and resilience to support advances in the local community. The relationship between the football club and the local schools is critical.
