Story

I have done some volunteering with Bristol Refugee Rights (BRR), an amazing charity in Bristol which runs numerous different projects to support asylum seekers and refugee's in the area.
Due to funding cuts, all of their services are under immense pressure to source alternative routes of funding.
The Asylum Support Project is a small and amazing team who works to prevent destitution among asylum seekers through advice, information and support. Deb and her team of volunteers gather information to inform judicial challenges among other pressing things.

In a 10 month period the project worked with 121 people:
54 were granted section 95 support
23 were granted section 4 support
4 were granted accommodation and support by the Local Authority
14 cases were closed as people got status or moved away
82% of members using the service said they were less anxious after working with them.
95% of members said that they felt more supported.

The project has managed to secure £15k funding, but in order to access this funding they need to get ten £100 donations.

Please donate anything you can spare, once I get to £100 I shall make the donation to BRR.

Thank you!

Gemma
