Knowledge is power. Knowledge is a privilege to have. But not many people have the opportunity to be educated.

Because I have had the opportunity to receive an education, now it’s time to give this opportunity to others, to the ones that have a thirst for knowledge but can’t afford to pay for their education due to war.

Since the war in Yemen began in March 2015 education has been greatly affected. More than 1,100 schools have been closed. As a result, the number of educated Yemeni’s drastically decreased. There are currently 2,000,000 children that are unable to go to schools across Yemen, either because the schools have been damaged by the fighting, are occupied by fighters, or are used as shelters for the millions who have been displaced.

The purpose of this fundraising page is to raise as much money as we can in order to give Yemeni’s the opportunity to receive an education, to give them an opportunity to look forward to something in a time of war, the opportunity for hope in the future. Education is a long term solution. But today I decided to take a step forward to work towards this solution, to see how people’s lives change when you give them an opportunity they have desired but couldn’t afford.

Whether you invest £1, £5, £10, £100 or more you will invest in people that are going to be so appreciative of every single day you gave them the opportunity to be able to attend school again.

Here is where the money you donate will go: At the end of the 60-day fundraising period, your donations will be directly given to individuals that my family and I personally know that have been greatly affected by the war and are looking for sponsorship to continue their education.

In our village in Yemen, there are a group of children that have lost their fathers and are only living with their mothers. The mothers are struggling to fully support their kids in a time of war, food-wise and education wise.

Each child is in need of £180 (approximately $240). This £180 will be enough to pay for that child's education for the year and the amount of food they need for the year. This £180 will do so much for 1 child.

The target is £6000, so the aim is to help 10 children in total for a period of 4 years. I will focus on the quality of support for these 10 children and see how they progress over the next 4 years with your donations. £6000 is an ambitious goal, but with your support, I know we can achieve it together and make a difference to the lives of 10 children that have already experienced so much hardship and need education to provide them with hope for the future. Any amount of donations are welcome and highly appreciated.
