Story

Arts First is a free podcast and made entirely by volunteers. We are asking for help to build a small pot of money to cover some of our basic costs over the next year - editing software, printing, occasional tickets and transport (we mostly pay our own costs). We gladly accept pledges and subscriptions via our Substack, but they do charge both a large percentage on every sub, and card and transaction fees, so we feel this is a more practical alternative.

Arts First is the podcast of the Arts and Society Forum and seeks to highlight and challenge ways in which freedom of expression is compromised by political activism and institutional cowardice; explores what is unique and special about the arts; and celebrates new artistic achievement and courage in the face of today’s challenges.

Thank you from all the Arts First team.
