On the 7th January 2025, Arthur Henry Gloucester Jardine, 4th generation of Jardine Funeral Directors, passed away peacefully in his 93rd year. It was Arthur’s wish that donations in lieu of flowers would be gratefully received for The People’s Project Charity (Dumfries) SCO50335 – a charity very close to his heart which enables communities to work together to improve their local environment in Dumfries & Galloway.

Arthur’s funeral service will be held at St Michael’s & South Parish Church, Dumfries on Wednesday 29th January at 3pm, to which all friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral thereafter private.

Arthur was the beloved husband of the late Freda McKean, much loved father of Mark and Joan, respected father-in-law of Ruth and Brian, cherished papa of Chris, Laura, Russell, Kelly and Greg, great papa of Brooke, Isla, Anna and Oliver, a loving partner of Liz and a friend to many people.
