Bike Tours for the Wounded CIC run motorcycle tours where volunteer riders transport injured, disabled, or sick veterans pillion around landmarks such as Route 66 or the D Day sites in Normandy. Some of the veterans also ride their own motorbikes or trikes. The tours are life changing experiences for many. They create the opportunity to "Ride, Refocus and Decide".

We want to raise £995 to fund one wounded veteran travelling to Normandy in 2024 for the 80th Anniversary commemorations of D Day. The funds will cover ferry, accommodation, food and the necessary support.

In 2023 I transported a wounded veteran, Paul, on one such tour in Normandy around D Day landmarks and commemorations. The funds raised via this separate crowdfunder will be passed directly to BT4TW to enable them to support more veterans and specifically to fund one place for a veteran to participate in the 2024 tour of Normandy.
