There are many in need of longterm counselling in and around the London Boroughs of Richmond upon Thames, and Haringey. including Twickenham, Hounslow, Hornsey and Islington.but who are unable to afford the fees.

COUNSELLING INITIATIVES has been providing low-cost, donation-based counselling for over 20 years at the Hornsey Vale Community Centre and for over 10 years in the East Twickenham Neighbourhood Asociation.

The last few years has seen a rapid escalation in personal expenditure and the number of enquiries we've received for free counselling has increased commensurately. We are also expanding our service to include offering counselling from a new venue and with the addition of 6 new counsellors, which will provide another 18 hours of counselling support per week.

YOUR DONATION WILL HELP MANY PEOPLE ACCESS LONGTERM COUNSELLING ON A FREE BASIS WHICH WOULDN'T OTHERWISE BE AVAILABLE TO THEM, AS FOLLOWS:

ALL OUR COUNSELLORS ARE VOLUNTEERS BUT WE DO HAVE TO PAY ROOM RENT OF £15/HR WHICH COULD NOT BE FINANCED WITHOUT YOUR GENEROSITY.

Over our 20 years + of provision, our clients have made significant improvements to their lives, such as in the areas of employability and release from State Benefits, personal stability, relief from depression, addiction and relationship problems - All of which have provided them with greater wellbeing, stress release and more harmonious relationships.
