Story
Helping torture survivors to recover
This is to launch an appeal to provide a 10 string Melody sounding bowl to be used by the leading british organisation, Freedom From Torture for helping torture victims.
Their Music Therapist, Harmin Sijercic, told us that he would be delighted to have such a fabulous simple instrument.
He would let his clients use it because they find music so calming and healing and without it some people may not recover at all.
There is no doubt that anyone, even someone without any training, can make beautiful sounds on a sounding bowl.
The maker, Tobias Kaye has agreed to subscribe half the cost.
As a result we have reduced the amount we need to raise from you!

6 years agoThe beautiful Melody Sounding Bowl was presented to Harmin, the Music Therapist of Freedom From Torture by its maker, Tobias Kaye, at their London Headquarters. He was supported by Judith and Anthony. We were assured it would be put to good use helping victims to be healed. Here is a picture of Harmin trying it out.
