I've raised £500 to honour Annie the cat by helping the shelter that saved her

I never met Annie, but I loved her.
One rainy day in February, I met up with a stranger to buy a bag from Gumtree. She changed the meeting time, mentioning that she had a vet appointment for her cat. As a cat person, I asked what was wrong and she told me that Annie -- a black and white domestic longhair who she'd rescued from a London shelter the year before -- had lymphoma, and was receiving chemotherapy.
I can't imagine what it's like to have a pet going through cancer treatment, and it broke my heart. I added Annie on Facebook (she had her own account!) so I could follow her story closely. She didn't enjoy the treatments very much, but I loved seeing her grumpy, fluffy face on my timeline, every week hoping she'd get better soon.
Sadly, earlier this month, Annie lost her battle. Her ashes are back where they belong, at home with her heartbroken owner, Yvonne.
It's easy to feel helpless at times like this, but Annie fought too hard and too long for us to give up now. I looked into a charity I could donate to in her name, and found the shelter she came from, Lilly's Legacy in London .
As bad luck would have it, this shelter has just been evicted from their property on short notice. They URGENTLY need foster carers, supplies, and as much help as we can give. They helped Annie, now let's help them.
Anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated. Lilly's also has an Amazon wishlist here where you can gift things to the cats directly, and if you can help with fostering while they find a new location, here's the information .
Thank you for helping -- let's make Annie proud.
