In under 3 years I have lost 5 stone. I have run 5k races before and raised money for charity but this year I wanted to raise the bar. I have yet to run the full mileage but I am training and an so far up to 8 miles.
I have signed up to do the Perkins Great Eastern run on October the 9th! Eeeekkkk!

The Perkins Great Eastern run is one of the fastest growing half marathons in the country. It starts and ends at The Embankment Peterborough. This is going to be a challenge for me but I'm hoping to complete it in around 2 & 1/2 hours.
As well as it being a challenge I'm hoping to raise some money for NGNPUK which is a local charity who raise money to provide the town and surrounding areas with Syringe Drivers to help administer pain relief for palliative care and Defibrillators For All who's intention is to place enough defibrillators into Whittlesey & surrounding areas so that nobody is more than 3 minutes away from their nearest one. They want to ensure everyone is given the best chance of survival should they have a Cardiac Arrest.
