Story

Our amazing, courageous, strong, loving and incredibly loyal, friend Amy lost her battle against cancer on the evening of Sunday the 17th March 2024 at such a young age.

Amy was diagnosed in May 2023 and took on her fight with such strength and determination, facing each chemotherapy round head on, along with radiotherapy and surgery. However she tragically lost this battle and now leaves behind her beloved husband Jamie and their 5 children, Megan, Ewan, Imogen, Aiden & Eryn.

Their loss is immense, no child should have to grow up without their mother and Amy was the most devoted mother I've ever known. Her children were her life and they will be lost without her, as will Jamie.

We have set up this page in memory of Amy, she was very well known in this area. Having all of her children at Ashley school at one point or another and also heavily involved with St Marys and St Johns churches in Walton, there aren't many people who didn't know Amy and her beautiful, caring nature.

We would like to collect as much money as possible to help support Jamie bring up his children, whether this be a much needed holiday, help with the funeral costs or just life in general.

Anything you can spare we would be so grateful for, thankyou.

Anna & Suzanne xx

In Jamie's words:

Absolutely heart breaking to say that my beautiful wife, Amy lost her battle with cancer last night.

She passed away peacefully with her family around her so she wasn’t alone, and also under the watch & care of the wonderful people at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.

The love and support from all our friends and family that Amy, our children & I received from the end of May last year when she was diagnosed has been above and beyond, and I can’t thank absolutely everybody enough. It’s been incredible.

The photo below is of Amy in the first week of chemotherapy back in June last year.

She had cut her hair short, added the Purple, her favourite colour, and she was ready for the fight.

And fight she did, right until the very end.

I know that I will take inspiration from her strength and determination throughout this, as will the kids going forward without her here with us all. I hope all of our friends and family do too.

I will love you forever, Amy. x
