Story

Thanks for taking the time to read my fundraising page. i have been involved with Royston Town FC (RTFC) and Royston Town Youth FC (RTY) for many years.

My 3 boys have been playing for RTY since they were 6 years old, with the 2 older boys also playing for RTFC.

Having been the Welfare Officer and Joint Chair previously and currently a Board Member for RTFC I know more than most how much hard work, time and effort is spent running a football club along with the time all the volunteers spend making sure that football is enjoyable and fun but the financial implications are huge, even for a reasonably sized club like ours. Not to mention all the standards that we need to adhere to.

Having previously fundraised for other charities I thought it was about time that I raised some funds for my local football club. To say the last 18 months have been difficult, is an understatement. My original run, the New York Half Marathon in March 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic and has still not been run. So in order that I can fundraise for both clubs I will now be running the Cambridge Half Marathon on 17th October 2021 and hope that you can support me with raising as much money as possible, this will benefit our football community as Royston Town currently offers cradle to the grave football, starting with Mini Crows from 3 years upto Vets football for those 35 and over, not to mention the 2 Women's team, U18's and all other RTY teams from U7-U16.

The club is growing all the time and any money that you are willing to give will be put to good use.

For Royston Town FC in the Community all monies raised will go towards forthcoming community projects that will benefit local players and parents.
