Story
Ellie and Cameron Armstrong are our niece and nephew. Sadly in 2014 both were diagnosed with cancer six months apart. Both passed away in 2015 three months apart.
Angela and Paul Armstrong have decided to fund raise in their memory. The money they hope to raise will go to the Ellie and Cameron Armstrong INVICTUS MANEO Fund at their school, St Thomas of Aquins. The fund aims to encourage children who may excel in sports to partake in projects out with the school and their community. But also to encourage children who face adversity to be recognised and supported in ways that necessarily may not be available to them without financial support. This lasting legacy is solely funded by donations.
Angela along with her colleagues Amanda Carrie and Katie Gibb all from Hair by Angela Jane
are undertaking a Skydive on April 16th. Paul meanwhile is running the London Marathon on April 23rd. All are hoping to raise money for the fund set up at St Thomas' in honour of Ellie and Cameron.
Despite everything they faced, Ellie and Cameron refused to feel sorry for themselves. Their strength was a symbol of their family motto:
INVICTUS MANEO (I remain unvanquished).
Even though Ellie and Cameron led very short lives they had a positive impact on everyone they encountered.
Their memory should be a shining example to all and that we should always strive to do our best and see the best in others.
If you retain hope and give your all in the face of adversity, just like Ellie and Cameron, then you can truly say INVICTUS MANEO!

We are completely overwhelmed and touched! Unfortunately due to bad weather conditions, so far we have had 3 failed attempts at our skydive. Amanda is taking part in her skydive this Sunday 25th of June and myself and Katie will take part on Tuesday the 25th of July. Good luck to all. As a St Thomas parent we were very saddened by the passing of Ellie and Cameron, but have been very impressed by the strength and dignity shown by their family and friends x

we are undertaking these challenges because no matter how difficult life became for our niece and nephew, they remained positive and dignified. Therefore no matter how difficult or scary these challenges get THEY WILL be our inspiration to complete them.
