Story
On 13th April a very close friend of ours lost his battle with cancer. Towards the end of his life Bob and his wife Tammy received significant support from the palliative care team helping them both in his final days. I will be running the Newark 1/2 Marathon on the 13th August in Bob's memory, my aim in doing this is to raise some extra funds for the team to purchase some new much needed equipment and allow them to support more people and their families ongoing. RIP Bob Berry

1 year agoI've not got out as much as I should have recently as a result of being unwell and being busy at work. I knew I needed to do one more long run before race day and I was dreading it. My alarm went off at 5 and I took my time getting ready just savouring those last few minutes before the inevitable. I don't know what I was concerned about. Was very comfortable up to around 15k, the last 4 were a struggle but home was in touching distance by that point so gave me the extra motivation I needed. This is the last of my long training runs now!!! :-)
