Story

My name is Andre, I am 21 years old. I grew up in Zimbabwe and spent my life around wildlife and have seen first hand the devastating effects poaching has had. Before moving to the UK last year I was fortunate enough to have spent some time at Imire Game park and seen the amazing work that they are doing to protect the wildlife and community surrounding them.

I am attempting to walk the South West coastal path which is 630 miles or 1014km in 56 days.

Why am I doing this walk ?

To raise funds for the rangers who risk their lives every day to protect the rhino at Imire Rhino and wildlife conservation.

Covid 19 has brought tourism to it's knees and therefore the financial support for the protection of the rhino has sadly been lost .

Without financial support the rhino and their protectors become increasingly vulnerable, brave men and women who put their lives at risk every day, every day a success when death finds neither.

Loosing funding leaves rangers without an income and rhino at the mercy of ruthless poachers.

Rangers and their families cannot afford to lose their livelihood and we cannot afford to lose any more rhino to poaching.
