Story
Never in a million years did I imagine I would be sitting here writing this .........
Our dear friend Andrew Wood tragically passed away yesterday, Thursday 1st October 2020. To say I'm gutted doesn't even come close; I'm devastated, as are all of his family and friends. The love and support on social media is clear to see, Woody was a huge part of the Chelsea FC fanbase, he knew everyone, he lived and breathed football; Pinxton FC on a Saturday, Blidworth Bengals on a Sunday, he was there. On a personal note, many special football trips, too many to name them all in-fact, but most recently Baku, to see our beloved Chelsea win the Europa League. For these special moments we shared, I, and many others, will be eternally grateful.
Woody was a profoundly devoted husband to Hayley, and father to the boys, Joe and Nicholas - He will be so very sorely missed by many.
RIP Woody; until we meet again.

So sad you have left us and sadder still that we cannot attend tomorrow as we should - the room would be overflowing in normal circumstances. We shall be raising a glass for a legend tomorrow night xx
