Story

The Station will re-open as a pub in May 2022, but because of the amount of work and support which is being provided from this building, we will be remaining working purely as a community hub from Monday through to Thursday each week, opening the doors for HeadJam on Thursday evenings.

This will allow us to continue to support the most vulnerable people in our community and to also continue the partnership work with the teams working to reduce and prevent homelessness. The packed lunches and other support will be available 7 days a week as always!

This fundraising is to cover the costs of the hub itself for a full year - which includes half the weekly rent for the building, along with the electricity, phone and other essentials used specifically for the We Shall Overcome work carried out here.

In the event that we raise anything in excess of this amount - the balance would be used for additional support for the people who come to us for help.

We have been waiting a long time to welcome customers back and to support original music again at The Station - but our dream is to be able to do that at weekends, while still continuing all the community work and support that has become a full time job in itself during the pandemic.

We really want to thank everyone who is helping us to keep on keeping on - your love and support is allowing us to fight on for those who need a helping hand.

We SHALL Overcome.

Love always, Pauline, Andy, the WSO Family at The Station and, of course, Greg the dog! xxx
