Story
I’m sure you’re well aware of the terrible situation that many Ukrainians find themselves in. We would like to ask for your support.
One of our dentists, Andrew Dixon, and his wife Jayne along with Michael who is Amanda’s husband, plan to drive a van over to Poland, full (hopefully!) of essential supplies donated by our staff and patients to give to the Ukrainians in refuge there.
The trip should take 72 hours and is planned for the end of this month. We are still in the planning stage, if you think you may be able to help with any aspect, please get in touch with our patient coordinator julie.mwdp@gmail.com
We are hoping to concentrate on smaller items initially so that we don’t fill up quickly on bulky items.
If you could spare any of the following, I’m sure it would be massively appreciated;
nappies,
sanitary products,
hair brushes, toiletries,
first aid kits,
paracetamol and ibuprofen,
batteries, flashlights and candles,
long-lasting dry food supplies like pasta and rice, canned meat or fish (with ring pull), coffee, tea
pet food,
thermal hats and gloves.
Feel free to pop in to the practice any time to drop off any donation.
Thank you so much in advance

3 years agoThis was one of the shopping trips on our 3rd visit to Poland to help out the refugees fleeing Ukraine. We shopped till we dropped and ferried families from the border to hotels and visa application centres. We helped in refugee centres and even with trips to visit a dentist! With your generosity we managed to buy and donate some much needed supplies and put a smile on the faces of many people. From the bottom of our hearts, we'd like to say a big thank you. Andrew, Jayne & fundraising crew :)

3 years agoWe made it! Approximately 9 tonnes of your donations were dropped off in a warehouse in Chelm, Poland. We were overwhelmed with your kind donations of supplies as well as cash given towards the cost of the vans and diesel. This enabled us to purchase and take over medical supplies and the remainder will be used to buy even more. Andrew and his wife Jayne plan to self fund a return trip offering their help in a refugee camp for 5 days and will arrange to transport the medical aid at the same time. From the bottom of our hearts...THANK YOU :)
