Oana is a 36years old woman and mother to an amazing 8years old girl. She used to be my English teacher back in Romania in secondary school and now she is my friend.
Her story needs to be known. It all begun in 2014,when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer stage IV, with lung and liver methastasis.Although it was a shock to her and her family,she started her fight by undertaking chemotherapy,setting up a very strict diet,collaborating with medical team and also doing research on her own.In just 6weeks,cancer cells dropped from 11000 to 23!That gave her hope and more courage to continue. However,soon enough the ilness took over again.She tried everything that was up to her for the next 2years.Willing to help and be helped,Oana took part to 3 experiments. Unfortunately,the results weren't as expected.A hope came from a private clinic in Germany,to try a vaccine against cancer. At the beginning of 2017,she was given bad news:chemotherapy was affecting her weak body and she developed blood clots on her left lung and heart. This meant that the cure in Germany was on hold until her heart got back to normal.
All this made Oana stronger.For those who know her personally,she still has that unique smile and positive attitude.She is always there for others,even now,when she is the one who needs help.That motivated myself and other friends of hers to try and do something,it is our turn to help!
