Story

Ryan was diagnosed in 2006 with a rare leukaemia and after a tough 10 year battle Ry sadly passed away, just a week before his 33rd birthday. Ryan faced everything with a smile on his face and always had time for everyone, even making time to set up this charity to help others. That tells you everything you need to know about Ry, through his hardest days he was still thinking of others.

Ryan was a huge sports fan enjoying rugby, cricket, even the odd horse race but Ryan’s main passion was Liverpool FC. Everything in Ryan’s life was Liverpool - he had every season’s new shirt, his bedroom, towels, dressing gown and even his dog displayed the club crest and colours. A liver bird can be seen on his headstone.

This is why we’ve decided to do this challenge, walking from Ammanford to Anfield, to keep Ryan’s legacy going through his charity. His name will always live on as long as there’s a few old friends willing to keep RYAN4LEUKAEMIA going.

Thank you for your support.
