This is the wonderful Hawke family

As some of you know, Gavin was diagnosed with a non curative metastatic Ependymoma of the spine in March of 2019 just three months after their first daughter Evelyn was born. After 6 weeks of radiotherapy, the cancer was stable and there was time to breathe as a family. Evelyn even became a big sister when Gavin and Alisha welcomed into the world their second daughter Elizah in September 2021.

Unfortunately in September 2022 after a routine MRI it was discovered the cancer was growing again, chemotherapy was commenced, but devastatingly it hasn’t worked.

Gavin and Alisha have now been told the heart breaking news that his cancer is terminal and he only has 12 months to live

Gavin is such a special person, he’s kind hearted, an amazing husband, the most incredible father, a wonderful brother to Neil and Steve and a fantastic friend to many, it seems so unfair that he is having to deal with such awful circumstances, but every day he remains positive and keeps up his fighting spirit for his family.

The hope is that we can raise funds that can be used to fund positive and happy experiences for Gavin and his beautiful family to help make his last 12 months as special as possible and to create precious memories of our amazing Gavin for us all to treasure.
