Queenshilling Emergency response vehicle for the people of Ukraine.

We cannot bring peace or end the war in Ukraine. Many of us have now become accustomed to seeing daily news reports of bombings, injuries, and the death and despair of others caught in unimaginable situations and trauma.

We are humbled to know Brian Hammond and members of our community in Bristol who have set up previous aid efforts to Ukraine, driving into Lviv, Kyiv and onwards into cities and villages affected by the conflicts. They have transported everything from children’s wheelchairs, food, medical equipment, burns treatment kits, trauma kits, walking aids, water purification tablets for 17 million litters, electrical generators for hospitals, surgical masks, aprons, and sterilising kits.

For their latest trip Queenshilling have pledged to fundraise £5000 towards the cost of an emergency response 4x4 vehicle which will be used to evacuate and provide aid to civilians injured during missile strikes, shelling and conflict. This vehicle will be driven from the UK along with an existing support vehicle loaded with aid into Ukraine and its contents distributed where needed.

The 4x4 will then remain in Ukraine and be used by a local team who are providing humanitarian support to people in trapped in conflict.

Queenshilling is an LGBT+ nightclub based in Bristol UK. We provide a safe space for people from all walks of life. We manage our space well and do not tolerate Racism, Bulling, or Arseholes (Its printed clearly on the front door).

Established in 1993 we have raised monies for numerous community causes over the years including, Prides, football teams, rugby teams’ sexual health, choirs and so on. This is a desperate plea for help we have never felt so strongly for a cause in need or an organization asking for our support before.

Whilst we have drink at the bar or a boogie on the dancefloor, this 4x4 will be working tirelessly in Ukraine helping desperate people caught up in unthinkable situations and saving lives.
