I've raised £6000 to help Amelia age 7, who has bone cancer and had her leg amputated this year. Our aim is to help provide her with her first prosthetic blade.

Amelia was diagnosed with bone cancer last August, just before her 7th birthday. Following several months of chemo, surgeons decided that her leg would have to be amputated. In January Amelia had an amazing and quite incredible procedure done called rotationplasty, (which is where they amputate the leg, then rotate the lower leg and fuse it back onto the thigh). Her ankle joint has now become her knee joint. This operation will enable Amelia to have the most active life possible. She would love to be able to dance and do gymnastics again. Our aim is to help Amelia achieve this by raising the money she will need to get her first prosthetic blade (which are not avalible on the NHS). Blades cost around £5000 and will need replacing as she grows.
While Amelia is undergoing more chemo, we would like to help her on the next stage of her journey. On 16th June, myself and a team of close friends (4 couples) are going to do Rough Runner at Arley Hall in Cheshire. It’s a 5k obstacle course (a cross between its a knockout and ninja warrior). None of us have done anything like this before, so some training will be needed. But the 8 of us will work as a team so we will complete the course together. We have called ourselves “Team Unicorn”. Please support us and help Amelia back to full mobility.
