VRC helps Vizslas, Vizsla crosses, and Segugio Italianos, all of which are treated like 'tools' by the hunters in Cyprus and often discarded after the hunting season is over.

Thanks to many kind Cypriot people who take them off the streets and in the wild countryside, often starved almost to death, and covered in fleas and ticks, VRC are able to help them back to health and Helga finds them super homes in the UK.

Just to give you an idea of an average cost to get a dog healthy, full blood tests, flea treated, wormed, spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, Microchipped, Passport including Rabies vaccination, is usually about £400, and then the flight cost used to be (pre Covid) about another £400-£500 depending on the size of the dog.
