Story

Over the next 12 months I will be aiming to ride 1000 miles on my trusty stead Regalo. Inspired by Your Horse #hack1000 challenge last year https://www.yourhorse.co.uk/hacking/hack-1000-miles-finishers/ I didn't complete the full challenge but did get 293 miles under my belt. Fitting this sort of mileage in with a busy life is a massive challenge, on my own I believe I can double my 2023 miles but with your support I hope you can push me past the 1000 mile finish line. Of the 306 participants taking part last year 29 successfully completed the 1000 mile challenge. I'd like to be part of this elite group in 2024.

As we go into week 28, we're still hacking and training. So pleased to have crossed the 400mile marker last week and Regalo has kindly let me travel 409 miles in the saddle. The remaining miles will be challenging now the cold and wet winter weather is starting to settle in.

I founded Forever Savvy in 2011 to help my son with Downs Syndrome and friends, find meaning and purpose in their adult lives. What started as a small back yard project has grown into 3 vocational training centres for people with learning disabilities. See www.foreversavvy.co.uk
