Story
All Saints church in Newchurch has stood since 1086 serving the parish of Newchurch and the surrounding area. Services are held at the church every Sunday as well as many other secular and religious events throughout the year for the local community and beyond.
It is an iconic and beautiful building housing some ancient religious and non-religious artefacts from the area. The tower of the church is unique due to its white weatherboard structure. The tower also houses the six bells which have rung out at weddings and important festivals for hundreds of years.
The project is to repair and stabilise the wooden structure of the tower following damage caused by water ingress, to improve access to the tower and to secure the tower against further water damage.
This crucial project is urgent in order for the bells to ring again and for the tower to maintain its integrity for the long term.
Further information about this project including architectural plans and drawings can be found on the church website: All Saints Newchurch Website
