Just a final thank you to the very kind people who donated. I exceeded my target thanks to you lot. I also had a few cash donations so each charity will receive £200 each. It can go a long, long way when you are supporting people who have almost or exactly nothing. Wow. X

Thank you all SO much for your donations; some of you I have never met. Your generosity is a joy. Going to bed hungry each night in August has been a lesson for me; waking up with hunger pangs and counting the hours until breakfast Nobody should live like this, but if they have to, we all need to find a way to share what we have in a more accessible way. I am still working in this. In the meantime, thanks for supporting three great Liverpool charities that fight hunger and poverty in Liverpool. Alice x

Thank you all SO much for your continued generosity; you are helping children who face each day of the summer holiday with no food because schools are closed and parents can't afford daytime provision. Croxteth and Everton are two of the poorest wards in the UK. I have chosen charities that support residents of the two wards (Croxteth Gems which targets and helps families in the most dire circumstances and Liverpool Six Community Association which runs a no-questions-asked foodbank). LCVS provides basic needs (food/clothes) for Liverpool people

Really pleased to have passed the £100 mark. Going to bed hungry every night from August 1st has led to less sleep. I wake in the night and I am very hungry. I know that I will have breakfast and lunch and this is my choice to go hungry, so I am not stressed. I feel so sad and I am so angry that children are going to bed hungry and parents are hungry and stressed. Change is one person at a time, one meal at a time, one decision at a time. Thank you for donating funds to help fight local poverty. Let's fight on x
