Story
Alex Eastwood Memorial Fund
Alex was the epitomy of everything that we stand for at Hurricane Combat & Fitness, not only as a martial artist but as a kind, caring, generous and loving soul.
At just 15 years old he has achieved so much and was loved by so many, not just at Hurricane, but around the country and even the world.
On 29th June 2024, Alex was fighting in a kickboxing match. Just after the fight had finished he had a seizure and was rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed with a bleed on the brain and induced into a comer.
Alex was transferred to The Manchester Children's Hospital for an emergency operation where the surgeons did manage to stop the blood clot but were unable stop the swelling or pressure on his brain.
The team at the hospital were incredible and tried everything possible but tragically could not save his life. 💔
His passing is truly devastating and we are all just in utter shock at how cruel and unfair this is.
Our love and support go out to his incredible and inspirational family at this sad time.
Hurricane was Alex's happy place and kickboxing was the thing he loved and excelled at most in this World.
Alex will live on forever in our hearts and minds but also in the lives of the seven children and their families who's live's he has saved through donating his organs to them.
We appreciate any amount given so that we can give Alex the send off he deserves and support his family through this terrible time.
