After weeks of pain in my hip and a persistent cough that just wouldn’t shift, I was diagnosed with lung cancer in August 2021. Obviously this was an enormous shock to me, my family and close friends.

Due to the complex nature of cancer and the rare type I have, the doctors are working by the day to better understand how they can treat it and how I can live with it. Life at the moment is full of the highest highs and lowest lows, but I’ve told myself I’m not going to let it get on top of me and look forward as best I can to the future, starting with the third birthday of my beautiful daughter Olivia in a few days time, and then marrying my amazing fiancée Sarah.
