When Covid hit, it hit AID Rescue too. They were unable to undertake the usual fundraising methods, but they refused to let this stop them helping people and pets in need around the island. Team AID helped with weekly shops, medication runs, vet trips, supplied essentials to familys, food for animals, a friendly ear and much needed support for anyone feeling vunerable through those very lonely isolation months.

As you can imagine after the past few months, money has ran very low. The vet bills are getting higher and higher and Team AID dont have enough coming in to to clear these. Currently, our vet bills with various vets around the island are in excess of £10,000!

Harry wants to help raise some money for the charity and he chose the incredibly huge challenge of completing the Raad Ny Foillan in under 24 hours! WOW!

So on Friday 28th August 2020, Harry will be setting off from Ramsey at 4am and hopes to complete this 98 mile challenge back to Ramsey within 24hrs! Harry has been out doing training for a few months now and has been taking part in fell runs around the island. The past 2 events he has acheived a very impressive 1st and 2nd place!

The dogs all know how hard he has been training and have loved being his training buddies!

A.I.D Rescues mission is to help all animals in need. Rehoming and finding forever homes, to giving those a second chance at the sanctuary. They offer therapy sessions from behavior assessments, training and laser therapy.
