I've raised £1500 to Support Wiggly T CIC in helping children across the UK in treatment for cancer.

On 14th May 2023, we’re delighted to be running The Great Bristol Run to support the fantastic work that Wiggly T does for children in treatment for cancer.
1900 children are diagnosed with cancer in the UK every year and this number is rising. Sadly, the treatment is brutal and can go on for years, requiring a special bit of kit called a central line, needed to safely administer chemotherapy over a long period of time.
The volunteers at Wiggly T make special T-shirts that allow a child’s central line to be accessed for treatment without having to remove any clothing and reduce the trauma associated with the procedure.
Wiggly T relies on fundraising to allow them to give a FREE central line accessible T-shirt (Wiggly T) to EVERY child in treatment across the UK. Every Wiggly T is handmade by a fabulously talented team of volunteers and with the material and pattern chosen by the child or family. Fabric and postage are expensive and each Wiggly T costs £25 to make. We would like to help Wiggly T by funding 60 Wiggly T shirts for children with cancer. More would be even better though!!!
15 of us at AHMM are running the Bristol 10k/half marathon to help them fulfil their goal, with our team comprising:
(10k distance) Alex Bennett, Ed Harris, Ellie Gregg, Flora Rebbeck, Keval Patel, Kirsten Whiteley, Melissa Forsey, Rob Bennell, Ruth King, Stella Cochrane, Steve Harker, Steve Taylor and Christina Agoston-Vas
(Half marathon distance) Andrew Thomas and Ben Brown
Any help you can provide to help spur us on would be gratefully received, be that a sponsor, a shout of encouragement on the day, a share of what Wiggly T do, or a follow of their social media pages.
