In August 2016 Kalo Sport successfully merged with grass roots football club AFC Southgate.

We are now one of North London's biggest youth football clubs and are pleased to announce that AFC Southgate will be running a senior team who will compete in the semi-professional ranks next season.

A big thank you goes to AFC Southgate founder and new mens team manager Rak Hudson, who has helped grow this football club from 10 kids training in a park, to a 200+ youth set-up with teams from U7 to U16 and now a newly formed mens first team.

This has been our vision from the start, an inclusive club that caters for all ages and abilities that also provides a pathway to the professional ranks.

Setting up a mens team, while highly rewarding, does not come without expense. There is little to no income from running a mens team at this level but there are several expenses in the shape of pitch hire, officials, kit, equipment, coaches, travel and food. We are reaching out to the community to raise funds to help towards the the pitch hire and officials.

The requirements of the league at this level are that grounds must have floodlights and a minimum 100 covered seat stand for spectators. We have secured a fantastic home ground, which will be announced in May (due to contractual reasons).

We would like to say a BIG thank you to everyone involved in AFC Southgate's youth set-up from the children and coaches to the parents, whom without their support our club would not be where it is today.
