I've raised £1500 to provide funding for the Huruma Orphanage in Tanzania. I’ll be climbing the height of Kilimanjaro in one day, on Saturday 27th July 2024!

In September 2023 a group of volunteers travelled from Capital International to the Huruma Orphanage in Tanzania. They carried out incredible work whilst there, to improve the facilities, the environment and the future for the children at the orphanage. More information on what the team got up to can be found at this link: Huruma Project 2023
In September 2024 a team from Capital International is returning to Huruma to build on the incredible work carried out last year, and I am fortunate enough to have been one of the people selected to go on this years trip.
Ahead of our arrival we are all getting involved in lots of fundraising activities and challenges. I have set myself an extreme physical challenge, and on Saturday 27th July 2024 I will be attempting a Kilimanjaro-ing challenge, where I will attempt to climb the height of Kilimanjaro in one day, on Snaefell. For context, Kilimanjaro is 19341ft high. The Bungalow to summit of Snaefell is approximately 610ft of climbing, so the challenge will involve a minimum of 32 ascents of Snaefell! Distance covered will be in excess of 50 miles so i need all the encouragement i can get!
Whilst I am no stranger to endurance events, this one is sure to test me to my limits, so any donations you can give are greatly appreciated, and in doing so you know that the money is going to an incredible cause in supporting the orphanage, and the money raised will make a huge difference!
If anyone wishes to join me on the day for an ascent or two, please feel free and it would be appreciated. Even if you are unable to donate anything please spread the post and spread the word, as we really want to build on last years amazing work and continue to enhance and enrich the lives of these children!
Thanks for reading.
