I've raised £1000 to Help get 'Adeline: A 21st Century Musical' to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!

We love our theatre community. Over 200,000 people tuned in to watch The National’s One Man, Two Guvnors… how amazing is that! We hope that you are taking this time to watch some amazing online productions, that you're brushing up on your self care and that you're supporting our Key workers by staying indoors. Our heart aches that the doors to the theatres are shut but that doesn’t mean that creativity isn’t happening behind closed doors.
We are very excited to be bouncing back with our announcement that we will be returning to Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2021 with our new production ‘Adeline: A 21st Century Musical’
Adeline is an original musical written by Jack Miles that looks at seeking happiness in the age of millennial burnout. Adeline is unfulfilled, frustrated and alone with disappointments forming the basis of her opinions on life. So what happens when she has an extraordinary collision with her delivery man, Ryan, and their paths cross over books, baked goods and broken fingers?
We can’t wait to be able to present this fantastic production to you in the near future. However, we need your help!
The Edinburgh Fringe Festival can be an extremely difficult process for companies putting on new work. There are a lot of costs that can quickly add up. We are initially looking to raise £800 to help develop Adeline. This will help stand the piece in the best stead for when you need to mount it onto its feet in 2021.
Development - This will involve workshops with actors in a space, discussing and advancing the needs of the show. We are looking at the possibility of performing an early and minimal version of the piece later on this year to an audience for feedback and your money will help us to approach the appropriate venue for this.
Your money will also be helping to go towards the final production as well! We have projected to earn back over 74% on ticket sales, which will cover most of our accommodation and venue costs but we want to make the show as appealing as it can possibly be to the Fringe audiences before we head up in August. Design, Marketing and preview costs will all play a pivotal role in ensuring a large audience for our Edinburgh run, and your donations will ensure that we are able to cover these particular elements
Design - We are able to make the show look as visually appealing to potential audiences, enhancing the world that the story lives in and creating an overall professional look.
Marketing - Grants us the ability to record demos with artists, create a full promotional photoshoot, interview content, trailers, posters and more. This helps us attract the attention of audiences up at the Festival.
Previews - We will be able to showcase the show to a London audience. This means we can invite industry professionals to create a buzz and give us feedback about the show before we head up to Edinburgh. This will be a one night performance, but gives us a chance to invite reviewers and hopefully gain a following before August.
As you can see, just this small amount will help us go so far!
At Taxi Man Productions we are dedicated to making sure that our patrons are able to be a part of the journey with us! If you donate a certain amount towards Adeline, we will treat you with some fantastic additional perks! They are as follows -
