Story
1.5 million people face a food crisis in London
Every day in our community there are parents unable to feed their children, elderly people living in fear, wondering where their next meal is coming from, the homeless unable to access food or shelter and the vulnerable unable to care for themselves without anyone able to go in and support them.
Covid-19 caused our industry to collapse, preventing us from opening for months, but we're fighting back by volunteering our time and kitchen to cook meals for those in need across our community.
We're not alone either, there are many kitchens across the UK working for free to feed their community as part of the Open Kitchens initiative. You can show your support by visiting the Open Kitchens website and help spread the word by following Open Kitchens on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn.

5 years agoAnother 1014 delicious meals left our kitchen at Frog by Adam Handling last week to 7 charities across London! We also transformed a delivery of unwanted ingredients, destined for landfill, into amazing meals. Including 334 portions of Pheasant Stew and 250 Berry Cheesecakes. We would like to thank The Felix Project for delivering the meals and supplying ingredients. Please continue to support our fundraising so we can reach our 100% target!

5 years agoYesterday, thanks to your amazing donations, we kicked off our open kitchens journey! The team were busy in the kitchen all weekend preparing 750 meals that have been distributed to worthy causes throughout London, including: - City YMCA Hackney - The Hill Station Lewisham - Centrepoint Covent Garden - Centrepoint Soho - Claybrook Centre They are all doing amazing work, helping those in need during the current pandemic.
