In the news this week in Aberdeen I was shocked to hear about the crisis in the North east with regards to the 20+ food banks we have are really struggling to help the people in need here in the North East. It alarmed me that some food banks could turn away up to 100 people a week from receiving any food at all or just having to prioritise who gets what and when. I'm hoping I along with a fair few others can make a difference to this situation.

We have started with organising a food bank collection on Friday 9th November. We are looking at having 2 collection points around the stadium area and hope the city and shire can really get behind this. From there we will continue to help throughout the month of November and hopefully be able to help all of the food banks in the North east in some way.
