I've raised £1500 to provide medical care, treatment and medication to the deprived and impoverished rural communities in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has a population of over 160 million and a land area smaller than the UK. The ongoing Rohingya refugee crisis has put immense stress on the already exhausted healthcare resources in Bangladesh. National Statistics show that there is only 1 doctor to 2,000 people and 2 in 3 children suffer from malnutrition. The lack of accessibility to even the most basic healthcare is a primary cause.
I believe healthcare is a right not a privilege and it must be delivered with equity.
This July I will be travelling to rural Syhlet in Bangladesh with Selfless, a London based charity that aims to tackle these challenges in global health. Along with a group of medical students I will be participating in an elective aid programme where we will setup health camps, provide free healthcare and medication to those that need it most. Your valued donation will be used to help fund the resources needed to run these camps, allowing for the treatment of potentially thousands of people living in poverty.
Your generous donations will go towards: 1)Camp setup 2)Prescription Drugs 3)Other treatment options 4)Travel costs 5)Basic medical training
If I cannot make an impact on the world as an individual, then at least I hope to make an impact to an individual and their world :)
Thank you!
