Story
For many years, the Xaverian Community in Manchester has worked with local agencies and charities to help give presents to the most underprivileged and disadvantaged children in our local community. Christmas should be a time for great joy but for many families it can be a period of great darkness, sadness and isolation. According Greater Manchester Poverty Action, 250,000 children live in Poverty in Greater Manchester.
Our students and our staff have always risen to the challenge admirably and this year we aim to support 430 children in our local area. This will require £4300 of funds to be raised - please give as generously as you can. This is a real opportunity to restore the meaning of Christmas back to its true meaning - one of hope, solidarity and joy.
