I've been a Cardiff City supporter since I was a small boy & have had a season ticket for around 25-30yrs.

In that time few players made the impact on me (& our club) that Peter Whittingham did.

To pay my respects to one of our greatest ever players I'm planning on walking across the Algarve from the 1st pre-season game (on 19th July in Lagos) to the 2nd game (on 22nd July location TBC) raising money for The Peter Whittingham Foundation

I'm expecting this to be somewhere between 50-80km spread over 3 days of walking

Day 1 - arrive in Lagos & attend game vs Fc Braga

Day 2 - set off from stadium in Lagos & walk to Portimao (20km - roughly 4-6hrs)

Day 3 - leave Portimao & walk to Albufeira (30km - roughly 6-8hrs)

Day 4 - leave Albufeira & walk to Estadio Algarve (30km - roughly 6-8hrs)

Day 5 - fly home a broken man
