Story

We're embarking on a new adventure in 2024, to connect children here in the UK with those in Gambia and to engage, inspire and educate on improper waste disposal in coastal communities. We are hoping to raise enough funds to purchase litter picking equipment that we can leave in Gambia with the children after our first visit.

If you have found this page- you might have heard about the shoe box appeal. And if you wish to donate you can state that you wish your donation to be put towards this appeal instead of litter picking equipment.

The shoe box appeal is one that makes a difference however so much waste and plastic packaging is sent overseas to places that just dont have the infastructre to dispose of it responsibly; inevitably ending up in our oceans. Our shoe box appeal is slightly different and we are asking for people to get involved & create plastic free and low waste shoe boxes. If you'd like to be involved you will be sent the name, age and gender of the child your shoe box will go to in Gambia so that if you wish- you can personalise it. If you want to be involved but can't offer a shoe box, you can make a donation here instead and if stated we can create a shoe box for you. (*recommended donation £5 for this)

Thank you so much for supporting Wild Earth Movement and following along on our crazy journey to a greener & cleaner future for all.
