Voice of the Voiceless (VoV) is a fledgling non-profit organisation that provides after-school maths and science tutoring, meals and mentoring to marginalised youth living on the Cape Flats near Cape Town, South Africa. VoV's objective is to provide much needed educational support and to keep the youngsters off the streets, where they often spend afternoons unsupervised and become targets for gang recruitment and drug abuse.

What I would like to do is raise funds to help VoV to secure a vehicle to enable them to safely transport the children from school to the youth centre they are using and also back home again afterwards. This would allow them to extend the reach of their ministry to help more young boys to improve their grades and raise their prospects later in life instead of falling into a life of crime.

In order to create some momentum around the fundraising objective, I propose to do a 10 day cross-Pyrenees solo 4x4 journey with my teenage son in June 2017 as a "challenge" to help raise the profile of VoV's need and to raise funds for them.
