Ullapool Fire and Light is a volunteer-run group which has hosted the Community Bonfire and Fireworks event, as well as the Winter Lights and it's famous Creel Tree, since 2015.

In order to continue our displays year on year, we undertake a rolling programme of maintenance, refurbishment and replacement of our equipment. As you can imagine the weather here takes its toll! For example, last year we replaced the lights on the main creel tree and salvaged what we could for re-use on the mini creel trees. This year we have replaced 350m of the festoon lighting you see along Shore Street and West Shore Street. There are a range of other annual costs, as well as the volunteer time, involved in keeping the dazzling displays up and running.
