SPONSOR HEATH MOUNT PUPILS' 5K CHARITY COLOUR RUN IN AID OF TWENDE EDUCATION FOR ALL

Heath Mount pupils are raising sponsorship for their 5k Colour Run on Saturday 8th June 2024 to help poorly children in Lusaka, Zambia, receive education and vital support during their time in hospital. Twende Education For All has two learning centres: on the children's cancer ward in University Teaching Hospital and on the sickle cell ward at University Children's Hospital.

This small but mighty NGO gives children who are receiving long-term treatment, the chance to continue their education and enjoy playtime, arts and crafts, singing and dancing and the chance to socialise and make friends while they are away from their families and their school.

We saw for ourselves the difference that Twende's inspiring teachers make to the lives of the young patients in their care on our recent trip to Zambia with our Year 8 pupils. Thank you for your generosity in supporting our charity partner and for helping Twende staff reach out to more vulnerable and poorly children to provide the joy of learning and play even in the hardest circumstances.
