I've raised £25000 to help bring our Dad, Trevor Fleming, home

Dad developed blood poisoning almost overnight from what we believe was a spider bite. His organs failed, before he ultimately passed away having had a heart attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning. He was traveling alone.
His flight home was booked and Elise had planned to have dinner with him on Friday. It has come as a horrible shock - we are completely heartbroken. Having lost our Mum in 2015 as well, we are turning to our friends to ask for support during this time.
Unfortunately Dad did not have any kind of insurance, and so we are liable for the costs of his return to the UK, as well as funeral arrangements, etc. We are doing everything we can to control and manage the situation by liaising with funeral directors, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the embassy over in Cambodia, but we can only do so much.
The costs of repatriation have drastically increased as a result of the global pandemic. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office and embassy are unable to offer any financial support so we must cover the costs ourselves.
If you knew our Dad (everybody did!) then you will know how proud of a man he was. He would never ask for help, but now he needs it - we need it. We need to get him home and have our chance to say goodbye to him.
All of the money raised will contribute towards getting our Dad home to us and saying goodbye.
Thank you so much for your support.
Jared and Elise, x
