The Tinkers Hill Rescue Centre has, for well over 35 years, been available on call for rescue - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year - funded principally by Maria herself and her late husband. There is no other regular funding. Some donations have been received and for these, we are very grateful.

Notwithstanding the enourmous, voluntary input of time and effort by Maria, for the centre to continue to rescue, treat, care, rehabilitate and ultimately release, wildlife (including Birds of Prey, Swans, Sea Birds and many other species), it is essential that the costs for feed, bedding, utilities and fuel for rescues and veterinary fees can be found, and they can be very substantial!
