SINK OR SWIM
Can you help Tina & Ross swim (or at least stay afloat) after a callus criminal sunk them (or their small fishing boat to be exact).
Tina & Ross own The Tina Louise & supply local restaurants (including our Wee Restaurant) across Fife & Edinburgh with lobsters & other shellfish.
In the early hours of Friday 28th July a male broke into the Methil Boat Club (Fife) & made a bee-line for The Tina Louise fishing boat. Powertool in hand he then proceeded to drill a number of holes in the hull below the waterline. It took less than 4 minutes of being in the boat club to ruin a livelihood. Water overwhelmed the bilge pump batteries & the boat sank within hours. Devastating enough for The Coventry family but this is not the first time their trust in human nature has been sorely tested. They have twice had their lobsters stolen from the tanks harbourside costing them around £4200. Other fishing equipment has been damaged including their lobster creels. Someone or some people are trying their hardest to put them out of business. Police Scotland have been involved in the past but without managing to catch the criminals involved. Again Police Scotland will investigate & this time it is very much prayed for that the criminal(s) are caught & brought to justice.
In the meantime Tina & Ross have bills to pay. They have a young son Jamie to look after. Just because your income has suddenly been ripped away from you does not mean your outgoings lessen. Insurance may in time help pay for the damage done but none of it helps right NOW!
We've have been in touch with Tina & she is too humble & proud to ask for help, so we will do this on their behalf. We know times are tough for everyone right now but as a large supermarket chain says "Every little helps." Let's help to also restore Tina & Ross's faith in humanity. Show them it isn't just **seholes out there & there are plenty kind souls too. Let's help them get back on their feet. Thanks in advance. Remember you also get a lovely warm fuzzy feeling when you help others- It is a win/win!
If you have any information that could help Police Scotland please call in confidence. As you can see from the photos, the person with the drill has a distinct hoodie on. REFERENCE NO 0569 28 July 2023
