Story

The little church at Edithmead, in Stoddens Lane, known as 'The Tin Church', needs repairs to keep it safe.

The church was built at Edithmead in 1919, the local community have worshipped there since that time. The congregation have always raised funds for repairs by holding various events. Since 2000 we have held an Annual Flower Festival, a Carol Service at Christmas and a service is held on the 3rd Sunday of each month during the year.

During the Covid Crisis the church was closed for 18 months. When we reopened the building we continued with our monthly service and we held a Carol Concert last Christmas. This has raised funds to keep the church insured and pay the energy bill.

We need to keep this little building safe and secure for future generations to use and enjoy. All donations you maybe able to give will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.
