Don't have time to donate right now?
Story
We unfortunately and regrettably have no choice but to close our doors for the foreseeable, we need to get back on our feet.
We cannot viably and responsibly continue to work at such a dramatic loss. Our finances have taken blow after blow since November and we’re now at the point that we cannot continue to responsibly operate and take in more rabbits in need. It’s so painful to have to make this decision but ultimately, money isn’t a bottomless pit and we have to be sensible and ensure we can afford all of the rabbits currently in our care.
We are sorry, but we can no longer help them because we simply don’t have the funds.
We do not get funding from anywhere else, all we have is what we are personally able to put in and what you donate to us. There are no grants or government support, what we get is what we beg you all for. It’s simply how it works.
Next Friday is going to be incredibly expensive with 3 of our most complex sanctuary rabbits booked in at Rutland. Of course our page will still remain active and adoptions and care of the rabbits we have will still continue, we have a couple of rabbits to introduce to you still that have come to us over the last few weeks 🙂
We hope to be in a position soon to reopen to new intakes, we will continue to fundraise In order to get ourselves back on top again and to continue operating as we have until now.
Your support means the world to us and is literally the reason why we are able to exist in the first place. We cannot thank you all enough for your generosity. Please do continue to support us where you can, please do share our posts and please do invite your friends list to like/follow our page. The more supporters we have here, the more income we’re able to generate and the quicker we can get back to doing what we do best - helping Britain’s most neglected petsIris has been emergency referred to Great Western Exotics following a dislocation/locking of her knee joint and hip issues. Iris is already a very complex little rabbit and she only has one back leg, following amputation when she was just 5 months old. Despite all the odds, Iris’ blindness and deformities, she‘s a little miracle who just keeps on thriving.
The initial xrays haven‘t given a very good prognosis, but we will do absolutely everything we ethically can for iris. the issue comes in the fact she only has 1 hind leg remaining so further amputation just isn’t possible. Obviously, this is going to cost the rescue thousands and despite the fact we do not have that kind of money, we will proceed no matter what. A life is a life. Please help us give baby iris the very best possible chance 🙏
