Story
The Airmen of Number 91 RAF Physical Training Instructor Course at RAF Cosford are taking part in the Shrewsbury 10k run to raise money for the “Roe Buck fund" on Sunday 19th March 2017.
The Roe Buck is the symbol used by the School of Physical Training, where the troops are currently stationed and undertaking their required formal training to become fully qualified PTI's. It resembles extraordinary alertness, energy and physical fitness which all PTI’s are required to perform their job effectively.
Course 91 are going to show off these traits in abundance by completing the Shrewsbury 10k whilst carrying a stretcher loaded with a human sized manikin, whilst tabbing with weight on their back.
The main aim of this is to raise money to put towards a central fund that will eventually pay for a permanent memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, that remembers all past, present and future PTI's that have and will pay the ultimate sacrifice for their country, whilst serving in Her Majesty's Royal Air Force.
Course 91 would greatly appreciate any donations and your support in this event.

8 years agoToday was the day!!! We completed the 10k with the loaded stretcher (approximately 65kg) in sub 60 minutes (official timings say 1.00:18 however our GPS watches did track us as doing 10,180m). We would just like to thank everyone who has supported and donated so far, as we wouldn't be here without you all! Thanks again, RAF PTI Course 91
