Story
Assalam Alaykum.
We have a sister who is in need of financial help. She left her family and her life in the UK to emigrate to start life abroad in the country of her husband’s origin. His plan was to sell up and live there permanently. However things didn't go to plan.
She left with her husband and 2 children to start a new life overseas, but before they left he said he needs money for a house abroad for her and her kids. She sold her flat and he used the money to pay off all his debts, bought a new car and paid off his current house mortgage with the money. But Alhamdulillaah before she handed over the money he added her name to the current house. His plan was to live aboard permanently.
While she was overseas, his manner changed. He said he had no money for groceries, clothes or anything for her and kids, yet he had money to splash for internet on his phone, entertaining his friends and competing in his bull fighting competitions. He didn't allow her to leave the house which now started to feel like a prison. It got to the point where he started getting physical and she had to call her family in the UK for help to get out of there.
After arriving back in the UK a charity had been in touch with her and the council arranged a room for the night. The next morning she went to the council for help. The Council had to eventually put her into temporary housing until a decision was made on her case whether they could help her or not. Due to her owning a house with her ex-husband which was put up for rent with a 5 years contract and she can't break the contract because of the fines you have to pay if you do. Unfortunately the Council decided that she was not entitled to any help, and any money that they had given her like housing benefit has to be paid back.
She has managed to find a job and is short minimum £400 every month after paying the £600 rent and other bills.
Please donate generously, BarakAllahu Feekum.
